The Moog GAT ROTODISK S is a single-channel, axial rotary union with hydrostatically balanced ceramic mechanical seals. The hydrostatic balancing ensures a low frictional torque and therefore minimal wear and long service life, even at high media pressure. As a result, the ROTODISK S can be operated simultaneously at pressures of 140 bar and high speeds.
The main area of application for Moog GAT ROTODISK S is the internal coolant supply in machine tool spindles. The media emulsion, oil, water, air or oil-air mixture can be transferred. Moog GAT ROTODISK S has proven its worth for many years wherever high demands are placed on service life due to demanding performance data. In addition to its use in machine tools, Moog GAT ROTODISK S performs reliably in the steel industry and in drilling equipment, for example. Due to its suitability for cryogenic applications, Moog GAT ROTODISK S is ideal for cooling using CO2 or liquid nitrogen and is therefore used in systems for glass and diamond processing as well as for planarizing semiconductor wafers. Due to the low leakage of the Moog GAT ROTODISK S, planar system control is possible.
