Awesome progress on the school project in Melezanay

Newly erected school building of the Erdi School in Melezanay

After Moog GAT had already been supporting the now successfully completed project “Clean drinking water for Melezanay” since 2018, which aimed to build a well and supply the residents of the Eritrean village of Melezanay with clean drinking water, we received information about another project about two years ago, which we were happy to support again.

The school project aims to improve the existing school infrastructure in the long term and create conditions that will enable the village of Melezanay and the Erdi School to offer secondary education for grades 9-11, which is currently not available in the wider area.
The picture shows two newly constructed school buildings for the 9th and 10th grades of the school. Another building for the 11th grade is in the planning stage and should be available to the now 1,400 students as soon as possible.

The association (Projekt Miabale Melezanay ab Germen e.V.) consists of former residents of the village of Melezanay who now live in Germany. One of the association’s members, who supports the projects in his homeland with great commitment and initiated our company’s involvement, is also a long-standing member of the Moog GAT team. He confirms with great joy and gratitude that 100% of the donations made since 2018 have reached their destination.
