Whether as a standard upgrade or according to customer specifications, our anti-icing solution is available for turbines with both electric and hydraulic pitch control. This is why many wind turbine manufacturers already rely on our technology.

We offer essential components for systems to retrofit blade heaters and thus prevent ice build-up on rotor blades for all common wind turbine models. We also work with leading manufacturers to develop new and innovative solutions that can be UL/CSA-certified on request.

Ice formation reduces the aerodynamic performance of the rotor blades and can even lead to rotor imbalance and thus to the shutdown of wind turbines. The existing risk of ice throw, which causes damage in the vicinity of wind turbines, can be significantly reduced with the use of anti-icing systems.

Our cold weather solution extends the temperature ranges in which wind turbines can be operated efficiently because it ensures that the blade heating reliably heats those areas of the rotor blades that are particularly important for the turbine’s performance. Power losses due to icing are reduced by up to 80%. The slip rings required for this are available in versions with up to 1,000 volts and 200 amps.
