Dry Machining

Application Description
During dry machining with internal minimal quantity lubrication (IMQS), the flood cooling with emulsion is substituted by a residual-free lubrication with a very small amount of oil. The two main advantages are first the avoidance of the high preparation and clean-up costs for coolant, and second the avoidance of health and environmental hazards.

The simple conversion of the tooling machine is important for introducing this manufacturing technology, as well as the possibility to keep switching between coolant and IMQL. By automatically adapting the oil amount to various tools, the adjustment and control of numerous dosing settings by many control functions is avoided. Successful dry machining using IMQL is mainly dependant on safe lubrication of the cutting area. Our aerosol technology guarantees deliverance of the oil-air mixture over very long distances and through the finest coolant channels without any demixing occurring, and offers a safe solution to the abovementioned demands.

Product Guide
Internal Spraying using Smallest Tools
ROTOJET A - Booster 250 Automatic
Also for the smallest tools due to automatic tool recognition. Ideal for milling centres and for HSC machining.
Internal Spraying using Fixed Tools
ROTOJET A - Booster 250 Standard
Due to automatic dosing control and up to 6 outflows, it is ideal for use with special tooling machines with existing tools, turret lathes, and transfer spindles.
